GDPR-Aligned Patient Data Platform
European Healthcare Provider
Overview
A healthcare provider needed a web platform to manage patient data securely, meet GDPR requirements, and integrate with existing clinical systems. This entry reflects Softmelon's typical approach to this class of engagement; named client detail is pending approval (OQ-03, OQ-12).
Challenge / 01
The Challenge
Healthcare providers moving from paper-based or legacy workflows to a digital patient-data platform face a consistent set of requirements: encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, full audit trails, and EU data residency. Off-the-shelf vendors often can't meet every compliance requirement, leaving providers needing a partner who can own both technical delivery and compliance architecture.
Solution / 02
Our Approach
Softmelon designs GDPR-first platforms on EU-hosted infrastructure, with role-based access control, audit logging, and encryption built in from the start, and secure API integration with a client's existing clinical systems.

Renewable Energy
Installer Portal & Device Platform for Regalgrid
Regalgrid's business runs on a network of installer partners who connect end users' solar, storage, and EV-charging assets into its Renewable Energy Communities. That network needed a self-service way to browse Regalgrid's device catalog, request quotes, and place orders, rather than relying on manual, ad-hoc coordination. Regalgrid's internal team also needed direct control over that catalog — products, pricing, previews — without depending on engineering for every change. The platform had to serve two distinct audiences, installers and internal staff, under one coherent identity and access model, on infrastructure Regalgrid could operate and scale independently.
Event-driven microservices separate catalog, ordering, and notification concerns, so each part of the platform can scale and deploy independently.
AI Consulting
LLM Integration for Enterprise Workflow Automation
Enterprise customers were spending significant time on manual document classification and routing tasks that were strong candidates for automation. Off-the-shelf AI tools often lack the configurability enterprise workflows need, leaving teams needing an engineering partner who can integrate an LLM into an existing platform without disrupting the core product.
Manual document review steps automated for standard document types, with a human-in-the-loop path for edge cases.
